Three of a Kind – this hand has three cards of similar value and two cards which is the kicker used to complete the five card hand.
Two Pairs – this hand has two sets of pairs, plus a kicker
Jacks or Better – this hand has two face cards, which are jacks or a pair of any face cards. You will need kickers to complete the five-card hand.
One Pair – this hand has two cards of the same rank and the others are mere kickers. Kickers are used to complete the five-card hand.
High Cards – no patterns but face cards and aces constitute high cards.
Now, let us move on to the steps on playing video poker.
Faced with the video poker screen, you have to choose the payout. Payout varies from machine to machine, so check out the pay table before you proceed.
You can choose 1 to 5 times your stake. Once you have made your decision, you can click on ‘Deal’, five cards will appear on the screen. You can choose from these five the cards you will keep to wager on. You can replace some of the card if you think that the hand is not winnable based on the hand rankings mentioned above.
Click on the cards you want to keep and the unclicked once will be discarded when you click ‘Draw’.
After the replacement cards appear, the hand will now be gauged against the poker hand table.
When you win, your account will be automatically credited with the winning. If you lost, then, your account will be deducted the bet amount.
